02 Oct 2023 Coats for Kids Drive Oct 02, 2023 9:00 AM - Nov 03, 2023 5:00 PM The Coats for Kids Drive is a collaborative project with the Hispanic/Latino Rotary and Holladay Rotary Clubs. The purpose of the project is to provide coats for kids in need. The Hispanic/Latino Club received coat donations from a group in Logan. We are collecting kids winter coats (both used & new) for our annual Coats for Kids event in November. Coat donations can be dropped off at the Midvale CBC Clinic at 49 W Center St. in Midvale, Monday through Friday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm through November 3. Coat sorting of the current donations will take place Monday, October 2, from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm and October 14, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at the Midvale CBC Clinic. More details will be coming about another coat sorting and distribution in November.
04 Nov 2023 Dictionary Project Nov 04, 2023 10:30 AM - 12:30 PM The goal of this program is to assist all students in becoming good writers, active readers, creative thinkers, and resourceful learners by providing them with their own personal dictionary. The dictionaries are a gift to each student to use at school and at home for years to come. Educators see third grade as the dividing line between learning to read and reading to learn. The Holladay Rotary Club has identified 5 schools in the Holladay area to provide 3rd grade students with dictionaries. Help place Rotary stickers in the dictionaries before they are distributed to schools. Volunteers are also needed to take the dictionaries to the schools.
08 Nov 2023 Monthly Meeting with Speaker Bill Marchand Nov 08, 2023 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM Please join us on November 8th at 6:30 PM at Holladay City Hall for our November meeting. The speaker will be Bill Marchand from the Salt Lake VA. He will be speaking about how equine-assisted psychotherapy helps Veterans. Please invite guests - I think it will be a terrific topic. Please RSVP no later than 11/2/2023 to President Ryan Patano.
11 Nov 2023 Rotary Coats for Kids Distribution Nov 11, 2023 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM Help with the distribution of kids coats. Set up sizes on tables, keep a manageable amount of people in the clinic.
09 Dec 2023 Salvation Army Bell Ringing Dec 09, 2023 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM We are scheduled to ring the bell for the Salvation Army on Saturday, December 9th from 12n-6p. These are one hour shifts. Bring family and friends to join you. We are ringing at Harmons located at 3270 South 1300 East. Have fun! Here are a few reminders to help make the very most of your bell ringing experience: Dress appropriately for the weather. Check the local forecast for rain, sunshine or freezing temperatures - and be prepared! Remember to smile, spread holiday cheer and always say thank you when given a donation.
