PRE-EVENT REGISTRATION REQUIRED. The Granite School District operates over 80 schools with around 60,000 students! With 47% of students qualifying for free or reduced lunch at school, Granite Education Foundation works diligently to reduce the barrier of hunger in and outside the classroom. Join us on the National Day of Service to assemble Student Weekend Kits for schools in the Granite School District. Our goal on this day of service is to assemble 15,000 Student Weekend Kits! Product on the Day of Service will be generously donated by our sponsors. Any additional donated product should be dropped of the week of September 11th. Details:

In July, Sarah Timpson, attended the Holladay Rotary Meeting to support her daughter who was the speaker. Sarah added a project to the suggestion list at the meeting. She is a nurse for Granite School District and requested help with vision screenings at 2 schools.
Volunteers help with vision screening by pointing to objects on the charts for students to read and other duties as needed. Training is provided before the sessions.

The Coats for Kids Drive is a collaborative project with the Hispanic/Latino Rotary and Holladay Rotary Clubs. The purpose of the project is to provide coats for kids in need. The Hispanic/Latino Club received coat donations from a group in Logan.
We are collecting kids winter coats (both used & new) for our annual Coats for Kids event in November. Coat donations can be dropped off at the Midvale CBC Clinic at 49 W Center St. in Midvale, Monday through Friday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm through November 3. Coat sorting of the current donations will take place Monday, October 2, from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm and October 14, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at the Midvale CBC Clinic. More details will be coming about another coat sorting and distribution in November.
