Rotary Club of Holladay

Game Night 🎲

Get ready for GAME night March 25, 2023! We’ve moved the venue to Liz Parker’s clubhouse at 1574 East 5600 South, 7 pm. Bingo and other assorted games, snacks, and prizes. Sign up sheet will be available at the next meeting or just let me know if you’re coming. All partners are welcome.

TREE PLANTING  🌲

Our District Tree planting project is just around the corner. This will be a huge community event with the City of Holladay, students from two elementary school's, Tree Utah, and our Mayor. The holes will be pre-dug by the school district so there will not be heavy manual labor. There will be an article in the Holladay Journal as well. Please let me know if you can help out either 4/21 or 4/28.

District Conference

Our District Conference will be held May 4, 5 and 6 at the Midvalley Performing Arts Center in Taylorsville. My RI goal is to have 5 attendees attend this conference. Please join us!
It is a great way to learn more about Rotary.
It is a chance to discover different club cultures and to share new ideas.
Listen to great guest speakers.
Make new friends.
Best of all, have fun!

Speakers

Last month we had a lively and educational talk with local chiropractor, Hope Brock. She spoke about injuries, arthritis and taking care of your self.

Our March meeting will be on Chinese culture. Please try to attend!

Coats for kids drive!

We are starting to collect coats for kids of all ages to give away in November. Last year, with the help of the Hispanic/Latino club, we were able to help 200 families receive coats and sweatshirts for their children. With your help, maybe we can help 400 families this year! If you or your family or friends have children’s coats or jackets to donate you can bring them to the meetings. Marsha has volunteered to store until our event. If you would like to donate money for us to shop, please contact Cathy or Marsha.

    Did you know?

One of the best ways we can promote Rotary is to know and share all of the good works Rotarians have done throughout the State. Our service impact report is available to everyone!
Go to Utahrotary.org scroll to useful club documents, then 2022 Impact report. This is a flip document that totals our district and club stats. Please check it out!

Last but not least, we will have our membership drive in May. We encourage all members to bring someone to the meeting. This is so important to the growth of our club!
We will have a special guest speaker “The Secret of Skinwalker Ranch”  stay tuned, more details forthcoming.
